Caribbean Arts' New Council

On Saturday June 20th New Media Entrepreneur and Editor-in-Chief of KB Collective Rashade St Patrick feted 30 guests in a private conversation at the Swiss Stores and F&B Restaurant downtown. The topic on tongue? The Caribbean Art For Commerce Council - an independent for commerce organization spearheaded by St Patrick.

"I'm very excited about the CAFCC. I've been observing, learning, growing and planning and now is the time, now is the golden moment for me to do this. I've knocked heads with some very important contemporaries to have them sit on the board of directors and with their help I'm positive that we will achieve our goals." - Rashade St Patrick

'Mr Kingston Belle' brought out some of Kingston's most talented emergent creatives and art world staples such as Rachael Barrett (International Art Consultant) and Founder of Karebean Inc. and Douglas Reid of the Grosvenor Cafe and Gallery.

Treated to wines from Select Brands and divine foods catered by Kim Fennell,  the night's guests were also feted to a short fashion presentation of two looks by Jayan O'Connor and Jehan Jackson.

"The fashion presentation was intended to be a take on the very dramatic way in which fashions were presented in ateliers across Europe in the 50's-70's - and Ashley Barrett and Anna took on the task like only they could." - RSTP

After a brief toast by St Patrick packed with information about the council and it's mandate, the guests connected eyes, signing their support to the "start of something new, to brave new beginnings"...
