TRYING HEINEKEN LIGHT (CITY EDITION)

TRYING HEINEKEN LIGHT (CITY EDITION)

It has 3.3% alcohol but half way in, I’m finding myself surprisingly light headed. Even more so surprising seeing I had it right after a full plate of pasta and garlic bread. But, I’m am most definitely NOT complaining. As a matter of fact, I have a confession. I was having a glass of pure Jamaican ting (a grapefruit carbonated drink with umpteen years of tutelage) and I mixed in some light beer half and half and ‘mi dear’, it taste soooo good. It’s like the Red strip light lemon beer but with a more palatable sweetness. I digress.

Heineken light beer or pale lager I hear it's called, was manufactured for the US market in 2004/2005. While this was the most important innovation to the authentic Heineken brew since 1873, the Heineken Light beer has declined exponentially since its launch over a decade ago.

I’ll be at Heineken House in Barbican Square Tomorrow Friday August 26th celebrating the closing of a  fantastic summer. If you can come out and party with me then come along. If not, stay tuned to the site for a full account of the best of the night. Heineken, Open Your World!
